Happy, healthy horses

Health & Care

How we care for our horses — and how to help your new horse settle in and thrive.

Our Care Standards

Every horse at Vareston Equine Ranch is kept in a clean, safe and spacious environment, with quality feed, fresh water and regular handling. Well-mannered, well-socialised horses start with consistent, caring day-to-day management, and that’s our priority.

Vet, Dental & Farrier

Our horses receive routine care including regular farrier attention and dental checks as needed. We’re happy to share each horse’s health background, and buyers are always welcome to arrange an independent pre-purchase veterinary inspection (at the buyer’s expense) for extra peace of mind.

Vaccination & Worming

Horses are kept on a regular worming and vaccination routine appropriate to their age and needs. Ask us for the specific health details of any horse you’re interested in and we’ll provide what we have on record.

Settling In Your New Horse

Give your new horse time to adjust to its new home. Introduce it to a quiet, secure paddock or yard first, make any feed changes gradually, and allow it to settle before asking too much. Keep up a regular routine of farrier, dental and veterinary care, and your horse will reward you with years of happy partnership.
